JUST IN: A female civil engineer and contractor from Brgy. San Marcelino, Dingras, Ilocos Norte, was ambushed and shot near her home in Sitio Nagmarcaan at around 8 p.m. on 26 September, Friday.

The victim was found bloodied inside her white Mitsubishi L300, which had fallen into a canal along the barangay road. She was rushed to a district hospital and was transferred later to another medical facility.

Police had recovered five empty caliber .45 cartridges at the scene. The assailants remain unidentified.

The incident was reported to Dingras MPS at 8:19 p.m. and to the Ilocos Norte PPO at 9:31 p.m. Investigation is ongoing.

“NANGHIRAM NG LAPTOP SIL KO PARA DAW SA ANAK NYA PERO NUNG KINUKUHA KO NA, AYAW NA IBALIK KASI PALA…”

NagVA po ako dati pero natanggal ako bigla sa trabaho. Kaya naging busy na lang muna ako sa bahay at sa mga bata. Plano ko sana mag apply ulit soon kaya kailangan ko talaga yung laptop. Pero hiniram ng hipag ko ung laptop para daw sa online class ng anak niya.

Sabi niya, saglit lang daw kasi ilang araw suspended ang pa*ok dahil sa ulan. Pinahiram ko kasi tiwala naman ako. Sabi ko ibalik niya agad kasi gagamitin ko rin. Pero after two weeks, kinukuha ko na wala pa rin binabalik at puro dahilan lang ang sagot niya.

Lumipas pa ng dalawang buwan at hindi pa rin niya ibinabalik. Doon ko nalaman na hindi pala para sa online class kundi ginagamit na pala niya para sa onlinejob niya. Sinabi niyang hindi ko na daw makukuha kasi nakaconnect na sa client system nila ung laptop. Ang offer niya lang, babayaran daw ako kapag nakaipon siya ng pambili ng bago papalitan daw nya.

Sobrang nabadtrip ako kasi paano ako makakapaghanap ng work kung wala akong laptop. Kaya sinakto ko nung nag out of town silang mag anak, pumunta ako sa bahay nila. Tahimik kong kinuha laptop ko at binuksan agad pag uwi. Nakalogin pa yung email niya kaya ako na mismo ang nagsend ng resignation letter sa boss niya, tapos pinareformat ko sa Greenhills.

Pagbalik nila, hinahanap nya yung laptop ko at galit na galit kasi nawawala daw. Dumiretso pa siya sa bahay ko pero di na niya maopen dahil may bagong password na. Nag away talaga kami ng malala dahil sa ginawa ko nalaman din nya na nagsubmit ako resignation sa boss nya na sobra na daw ung gnawa ko. Na*obrahan ba ako nkaganti bigla ko na lang kasi naisip yun nung nakaopen email niya.

‘WE WANT THE PEOPLE TO TRUST THE ICI’

Hindi isasapubliko ng Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) ang mga pagdinig nito tungkol sa umano’y korupsyon sa mga proyekto ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

“It’s a very dangerous thing if we livestream it and at the same time, people might be misled. [We] want the people to trust [that] we will be doing our job fairly, objectively, and independently,” saad ni ICI Executive Director Brian Hosaka sa panayam sa “The Big Story” sa One News.

“Rest assured that if whenever we do find sufficient grounds to recommend the filing of any criminal actions, civil or administrative actions against any individual or group, which may be responsible for these anomalies, we will file it with our proper agencies,” dagdag pa niya.
