I used to question God. “Lord, bakit po hindi ako pinakinggan?”
“Akala ko ba, You give the desires of our hearts?”
“Akala ko ba, if I prayed hard enough, You would say yes?”
Masakit.
Yung feeling na binuhos mo ang lahat ng panalangin, pag-iyak, pag-aantay, tapos ang ending… walang sagot.
O minsan, sagot nga, pero ‘no’.
Pero ngayon, looking back… I finally understand why some prayers were left unanswered.
Hindi dahil hindi Siya nakikinig.
But because He was protecting me from what I thought was good—but not His best.
May mga panalangin akong noon akala ko “ito na talaga, Lord.”
But if I had gotten them, maybe I would’ve been stuck in the wrong place, with the wrong people, or in a life I thought I wanted—but not the one He lovingly designed for me.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.—Isaiah 55:8
God sees the whole picture.
Tayo, one frame lang. Kaya minsan di natin gets kung bakit ‘di natupad ang gusto natin.
But now? I thank Him. Thank You, Lord, for the doors You closed.
For the relationships You didn’t allow to grow.
For the jobs, dreams, and seasons You ended, even when I begged You not to.
“We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.”—Proverbs 16:9
Acceptance isn’t easy.
Pero minsan, sa pag-iyak mo ng “Lord, bakit?”
Sasagutin Niya ng “𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗜 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁.”
And that’s where peace comes in.
Maybe you’re in a season right now of unanswered or delayed prayers.
Don’t panic.
Don’t rush.
Don’t think you’ve been forgotten.
Sometimes God’s “no” is just a “not now.”
Sometimes His silence is His protection.
And always—always—His plans are higher.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
—Romans 8:28
Trust the Author of your story.
Kahit hindi mo pa nakikita ang buong ending, believe that it’s being written with love, purpose, and redemption in every chapter.
Someday, just like me, you’ll look back and say:
“Thank You, Lord… that You didn’t give me what I prayed for.”
Because what He gave instead? Was so much better.
