One Career Tip I Wish I Knew Earlierโฆ
If I could go back in time and give my younger self one piece of career advice, it would be this:
๐ Stop waiting for permission to grow โ start taking ownership of your success.
For too long, I believed that if I just worked hard and kept my head down, success would naturally follow. But hereโs the truth: hard work alone isnโt enoughโyou have to be intentional about your career growth.
Hereโs what I wish I had done sooner:
โ
Speak up in meetings โ Even if your idea isnโt perfect, your voice matters. Donโt let fear hold you back.
โ
Ask for feedback regularly โ Growth doesnโt come from just doing; it comes from learning and improving. Seek out constructive criticism and apply it.
โ
Build relationships, not just a resume โ Networking isnโt just for job seekers. The right connections can open doors you never even knew existed.
โ
Negotiate your worth โ Never assume that your hard work will be rewarded automatically. Know your value and advocate for yourself.
โ
Take calculated risks โ Whether itโs a new role, a side project, or a career switch, growth happens outside your comfort zone.
๐จ The biggest lesson? No one is going to hand you success on a silver platter. Your career is in YOUR hands. The sooner you take control, the faster youโll see progress.
