"I wish I gotten to know him better"

I've been caught up watching this new anime I'm currently obsessed with the series is called Frieren; Beyond Journey's End. The anime starts at the end of Hero Party's (Frieren an elven mage, Himmel a human swordsman, Eisen a dwarf, and Heiter a human priest.) journey after defeating the Demon King who terrorized the land where the story is set. The King of the holy capital city awarded them with copper coins and a statue to honor their efforts. Followed by a big festival in accordance to the Era meteor shower with which the four hero watched altogether. Frieren journeyed back to the holy capital city to find her party and watch the Era meteor shower again after fifty years of not being in contact with each other. Frieren an immortal hasn't changed a bit while Himmel the hero is now an old man. Together with Eisen and Heiter the four journeyed for a week reliving their decade long journey to watch the meteor shower again. Himmel teary eyed thanked the three for an unforgettable journey one last time. A day after that Himmel the hero breathe his last breath, Frieren overcame with grief shouted at the funeral "I wish I gotten to know him better"

This is only the synopsis of the first episode but as I went through the rest of it. I've realized that though frieren an immortal and elven mage who literally can do anything decided to continue moving forward instead of settling down because she feels an adequate yearning for something. She may not know it yet but deep inside her soul and her heart knows what she's yearning. So when Heiter asked her to take Fern the orphan he saved to be her apprentice he tricked Frieren into teaching her magic in order for Fern to be her next companion. And in that time they traveled together Frieren can't help but to retrace her steps back to the places she, himmel, heiter, and eisen has taken back in the day. She unconsciously brings Fern along down memory lane. An emotional and important theme of the entire series. I'm only at Episode 5 but i can't help but review/rate it already. I'm so moved by the ingenuity of the writers and how everything is thought of. I for sure would make another review/rate when i finished the entire series. For now let's continue the journey!

I always think Archons are lonely and sad people. It's not because they're born or created like that but it's because they are prisoners of time. Archons are divine immortal beings and I'm sure for thousands of years, they have seen people perish and leave the world they just knew ever since.

We have seen how Ei grieved for Makoto and how Zhongli (in his idle animation) reminisce about drinking osmanthus wine and the people he used to enjoy it with. I think the playful, serious, stoic, and cheerful personalities of each Archon are just facades to mask their true emotions. Deep down each of them are broken and in trauma in their own right and I don't blame them for choosing to give up being an archon just to stop feeling the hurt.

That in order to find peace and healing they resort to mediocre things Venti decided to be a bard, Zhongli chose to be a worker at a funeral parlor, Ei made a robot clone of herself and retreated in the plane of Euthymia. Focalors killed her divine self and chose to be a mortal in Furina. I personally think Nahida is the only Archon as of this date who is well adjusted to her surroundings.

You see no matter how much power you have, how much influence you have, how much divinity you have when the people who live for, are gone. You will no longer wish to be powerful, influential, or divine anymore. That's why i fully understand the Archons.

and as what many will say Heavy is the head that wears the crown.
