Thank you Senator Robin Padilla for admitting that you are a Communist.
Do I have a problem with that Jose Ma Joey Sison ? No.
All I ask for members of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) is to do the same. Admit that you are one.
Be proud of being a communist if you believe in your ideology and your cause.
No need for double-talk. No need to hide your true colors. No need for hypocrisy.
In many European countries, there are still communist parties and members admit and even flaunt it.
In the US there are so many of them but they call themselves other names. Do you think they're gone? No, they're in the University System, America's communist factory.
Think Harvard, Yale, Columbia, the Ivy League, etc. They're there multiplying like Gremlins.
After the Bolshevik revolution in 1917, the Americans distanced themselves from communism. Communists and socialists in the US failed to attract the working class.
They rebranded from the Intercollegiate Socialist Society (Upton Sinclair), the youth wing of the Socialist Party of America, to Students League for Industrial Democracy (SLID), to Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) in 1960.
This gave rise to the radical "New Left", the 2nd generation American communists or the so-called red-diaper babies. They embraced Marx, Lenin, and Mao.
The SDS started the Marxist-Leninist Weather Underground in 1969, declaring itself a "revolutionary communist party" ready to "seize power and build the new Society."
One cofounder Bernardine Dohrn affirmed their aim "to lead white kids into armed revolution." (Jesse Kelly, The Anti-communist Manifesto)
Take note of the year 1969 because in the Philippines this was also the year the NPA was born, to pursue the ARMED STRUGGLE, while it's party, the CPP born a year earlier, hide under its mantle.
In Europe, Australia, Canada, and US now, if you are red, you can live by it, you can walk the talk. That's because their governments kept the armed component in check.
In the Philippines, these communists cannot "walk like a duck, talk like a duck."
Their connection with NPA violence has been CLEARLY established especially after the creation of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict. Now, with the NPAs almost decimated, it is simply impossible for them to thrive again.
Not with another six years of Duterte-like anti-communist policy.
This is the reason for the ICC and impeachment.

Now is the time. Follow what Senator Padilla just did.
If in the end, people will still vote for you then what can we do. That's the essence of democracy.
And God forbid, if the CPP wins it only means one thing - the communists are so effective with what they're doing NOW.
