Pickleball ay para sa….

I must say that Pickleball has truly got me hooked, but Basketball still has all the receipts. 😮‍💨

Sometimes, staying active means letting go of the way you used to move.

Basketball has always been a part of me, but since my knee surgery two years ago, the impact of jumping, landing, and constantly battling for rebounds has become harder and harder on my knees even thru constant strengthening and rehab.

And now, in my 40s, I’ve had to accept something: I don’t need to prove that I can still do everything the way I used to. I just need to keep moving.

That’s why I made the transition to pickleball six months ago. 🙌🏽

Less jumping. Less impact. More movement. And most importantly, no more knee pain.

And honestly, that feels like a win. 🏆

Because getting older isn’t about slowing down. It’s about getting smarter about what your body needs. Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is adapt instead of forcing yourself to hold on to the past.

So if you’re going through a similar season, an injury, surgery, getting older, or simply realizing your body doesn’t move the way it used to, don’t think you have to stop. Find another way.

The goal isn’t to move like you did at 20.

The goal is to still be moving at 40, 50, 60 and beyond. Just like the KING 👑 👑

We don’t have to train harder. We have to train wiser. Sometimes humility means letting go of what you used to do, so you can keep doing what you love for years to come.
