I am making 4AD a bit more of a board game - I guess?🤩

I'm still a 4AD newb and this will be my first play using a published adventure. Caves of the Kobold Masters seems like a good one for my Level 2 party🍻

I've been wanting to use my DnD dungeon/cavern tiles for something like this (I have 2 sets! Recommended to make a "whole" dungeon), so I decided to use them for the Chapter 1 map. Ohhhhh, it looks and feels great. With Dungeon Synth in the background, I can immersively take part on this journey into darkness☠️(next time I'll change the lighting ❤️‍🔥). Now I'm really tempted to get the 4AD Monster Decks ✨️

Hmmm...I might use these tiles for the random dungeon generator, too! 🍻

BOOKMARK MUCH? 😅😅😅

I don't mind PDFs but when it comes to core rulebooks with tables, rules tidbits scattered all over, lotsa page flippin', nuthin beats the actual book, and for me, nuthin beats actual bookmark tactility oh yeaaaahhh ✨️💖

Was never really a fan of pdf bookmarks. Too much pressing here and there. But with my personalized bookmarks, I can go immediately where I need to go. Btw, I've done this with a lot of my other core books 😅

I also added a quickie cheat sheet in the back - just certain 'lil things to remind me.

Gosh, what have I been doing this whole afternoon 😭

I certainly loooove drawing faces for my characters. It adds that much needes personality and "life" to these heroes, in addition to making it a lot easier to distinguish character sheets from another.

Dragonbane also includes facial features and basic personality traits based on a random roll. Wolfkin, Blaike Coldsteel has different eye colors (wow, much like David Bowie 😍) and Elven animist magic-user, Noura has a silver tooth (dats gangsta, babbyyy😅). Still developing how these two met. I imagine they're some sort of fantastical hippies with Noura coming from a prominent family but eventually embraced her animalistic natural roots and lived in the deeper wild. It's in the forests where she met her loyal companion and highly introverted Blaike who protects her in every step of the way.

Still determining if I need a 3rd party member but I think I'll stick to these two and tweak their skills a bit to accomodate solo play and compensate for the game difficulty.

So it has begun: my adventures into the Misty Vale 🏔⛰️🌴🌳🌲

I blame all the posts about Dragonbane on the solo RPG Facebook groups and goshdarnit I was convinced immediately (in addition to numeours YouTube playthroughs and reviews), that this is a fantastic TTRPG.

This box set, at such an unbelievable price, has everything you need to start playing. I am simply blown away by the fantastic cards, gorgeous hand-drawn map, thematic dice, highly usable standees, immersive character sheets and the oh-so wonderful art that evokes the magic and mystery of Sweden's own D&D, Drakar och Demoner aka DRAGONBANE 🐲🐉

Comes with its own functional SOLO RULES, too! Gosh, how considerate🍻 This is Scandi Quality at its finest 💖I would also like to add: the COMBAT is awesome!! Just the right tactical crunch - parry? evade? It's all there! In fact, I've been thinking of applying its combat mechanics to my other OSR games. It's neat! I totally dig those initiative cards, and its "action economy".

Another quality product from Free League. I can't wait to get my hands on their Dragonbane Bestiary book ✨️

Awesome books from John Lambshead 🍻✨️

I've just started painting my Bolt Action minis for 1-hour Skirmish Wargaming and wondered how can I get more small skirmish scenarios. The Answer: the Sci-Fi Skirmish Scenarios book! which apparently can be modified and slightly tweaked into any era or theme (besides Sci-Fi, the title can be misleading).

These two books alone will provide endless hours of skirmish gaming goodness 😍

2 Questions:
1. Where will I get those endless hours from this busy life!!!??? 😭😭😭

I'm totally diggin' this Necromancer, like diggin' 6 feet deep 😭

Really lovin' dat skeleton being raised from the ground, its decompising guts and entrails left behind. It's a nice touch👍

He's the main villain in the Dungeon Saga core box but I'm totally gonna use him as a necromancer class in my other ttrpgs - possibly Four Against Darkness?

A late-night "trying out a new RPG system for me" moment ✨️

What a simple, elegant, quick system Cairn (by Yochai Gal) is. Excitednl for the release of its 2nd edition - (it IS coming out, right?) Gonna do a quick dungeon crawl using the Cairn & Crannogs supplement. Good thing I have these 15mm scale Barbarian minis that are perfect for the setting.

Eventually, I might switch to the amazing Runecairn RPG. HOLY SMOKES! Have you seen the Runecairn Remastered on Kickstarter??!
