WELCOME 2025!

It has been a while since I updated this page.

But I decided to follow my heart and revive this interest with Vintage Cameras.

I hope to post more about my collection and the experiences of traveling back in time to revisit film cameras.

Although the "SHOPPE" will remain closed for selling for now, I do hope share more about the cameras that are still in my collection. Maybe someday I shall reopen it for cameras and camera lifestyle items.

COURANT TELEGRAMME : 19TH CENTURY INFLUENCERS

Loosely translated, INSTAGRAM :)

This is my early 1900s RADIOPTICON. (Optical Transmitter) also known as a projector. This old device is your great great great grand daddy of the influencer's favorite INSTAGRAM.

This is actually a POSTCARD Projector. You put the postcard, upside down, on the plate holder, light up the lamp, or flip the switch, adjust the single lens tube to focus the image on your straight curtain screen.

People would gather around, tell stories of their travels, with their latest Carte de Viste (Tour Cards), postcard visuals while the french maid or butler serve guest delectable apertifs. Just imagine those cheesy near/far photos in front of the pyramids, or "Hey look I'm the Leaning Tower of Pisa!?

This one is already converted to electric decades ago. Originally such home entertainment systems were lit up with lamps as the heat and fumes escape thru twin chimneys. These days you'd need a very strong but safe 100W equivalent LED bulb to get a good image unto your wall.

Restored and rewired this RADIOPTICON is a nice conversation piece. It is quite cool, literally compared to the old hot bulbs, to show this old tech to the young generation to show innovations can be so simple.
