A century-old yellow flame tree, known as the Kalayaan Tree (Freedom Tree), stands proudly in front of the church in Malolos, serving as a silent witness to the significant historical events that have unfolded in the town. This tree has borne witness to many crucial moments, particularly during the time of the Malolos Republic.

Revolutionary leaders frequently conducted their meetings under the shade of this venerable tree, strategizing and discussing their plans for the nation's future. The tree provided a natural canopy for these pivotal gatherings, playing a vital role in the history of the Philippine Revolution.

To honor and commemorate the importance of these meetings, a bronze monument has been erected near the tree. This monument depicts a discussion between key figures of the revolutionary government, capturing a moment in time when leaders plotted the course of the nation's struggle for independence.

Today, the Kalayaan Tree not only stands as a natural landmark but also as a symbol of the resilience and determination of the Filipino people. It continues to remind visitors of the historical significance of the site and the enduring spirit of those who fought for freedom.

The Pinagrealan Cave, steeped in history, holds a treasure trove of secrets within its subterranean chambers. Dating back to the late 19th century, it served as a clandestine meeting place for Filipino revolutionary forces during the war against Spain, offering refuge and strategic advantage to the Katipuneros in their fight for independence.

During pivotal moments in Philippine history, the cave played crucial roles in resistance movements. In 1896, it became a camp for the Katipunero Revolutionaries during the war against Spain, providing a secure location for planning and organizing their rebellion. Later, during the Filipino-American War in 1898, it served as a hidden refuge for General Emilio Aguinaldo, the First President of the Philippines, offering shelter and protection from enemy forces.

Amidst shifting tides of conflict, the cave's significance persisted into the 20th century. As the Philippines faced occupation by the Japanese Imperial Army during World War II, Pinagrealan Cave once again became a sanctuary, offering concealment and safety to Japanese soldiers seeking refuge from advancing American forces. Across different epochs, the cave's walls have borne witness to the struggles and resilience of those who sought shelter within its depths, leaving an indelible mark on the tapestry of Philippine history.

The Dr. Luis Santos House in Malolos, rebuilt in 1932, showcases the shift from Art Nouveau to Art Deco architecture. This house, which served as both a home and clinic for the well-known eye doctor Dr. Luis Santos, features a grand entrance with concrete steps that look like porphyry marble, a vestibule with lightning rod designs, and a 4-meter high ceiling. The first floor was used as Dr. Santos' clinic, while the second floor contains living spaces connected by a grand staircase with a bronze lamp and decorative railings, emphasizing the blend of professional and residential use.

The second floor is known for its rich design, with a central square living room decorated with a circular ceiling mural by famous Filipino artist Fernando Amorsolo.
