Happy 34th Birthday To Burna Boy 🦍🎉🎂

Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known professionally as Burna Boy, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer born on July 2, 1991, in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Raised in southern Nigeria, he grew up influenced by his mother, Bose Ogulu, a language translator who later became his manager, and his grandfather, Benson Idonije, who once managed Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti. Burna Boy began producing beats using FL Studio and attended Corona Secondary School in Ogun State before studying media technology at the University of Sussex and media communications at Oxford Brookes University in the UK.

He rose to prominence in 2012 with his hit single "Like to Party" from his debut album, *L.I.F.E* (2013), which sold 40,000 copies on its release day. After parting ways with Aristokrat Records, he founded Spaceship Entertainment in 2015. His third album, *Outside* (2018), marked his major-label debut with Atlantic Records. In 2019, *African Giant* earned him a Grammy nomination for Best World Music Album and won Album of the Year at the All Africa Music Awards. His fifth album, *Twice as Tall* (2020), won the Grammy for Best World Music Album in 2021. His sixth album, *Love, Damini* (2022), became the highest-debuting Nigerian album on the Billboard 200.

Known for his Afro-fusion style, blending Afrobeats, dancehall, reggae, and pop, Burna Boy has collaborated with artists like Beyoncé, Sam Smith, and Dave. He made history as the first African artist with two albums surpassing 1 billion streams on Spotify and the first Afrobeats artist to hit number one in the UK with *I Told Them...* (2023). He has won four BET Awards for Best International Act and was honored with the Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) in 2022 for his musical achievements.
