A song for people experiencing homesickness.
Problem: "Homesickness"
Bible Verse: āThe Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.ā ā Psalm 121:8 Reflection: Whether youāre far from home or starting fresh in a new place, God is with you. Heās watching over you and your loved ones, no matter the distance.
Title: "Far from Home, Close to God"
[Verse 1]
The city lights, they shine so bright,
But they canāt replace the stars at night.
Back home, the laughter filled the air,
Now Iām here, but I still feel there.
The scent of momās cooking, dadās favorite chair,
The warmth of love, I wish I were there.
But though my heart aches, I hold on tight,
Godās watching me through the longest nights.
[Chorus]
Far from home, but never alone,
The Lord is my guide wherever I roam.
Through every tear, through every prayer,
He watches over here and there.
I miss my family, I miss the past,
But God reminds me His love will last.
[Verse 2]
The photos fade, but memories stay,
I hear their voices when I kneel to pray.
The hugs I miss, the smiles I crave,
But Godās embrace keeps me brave.
He knows my heart, He feels my pain,
He whispers, āChild, youāll see them again.ā
So I trust His plan, take every stride,
Knowing Heās here, right by my side.
[Chorus]
Far from home, but never alone,
The Lord is my guide wherever I roam.
Through every tear, through every prayer,
He watches over here and there.
I miss my family, I miss the past,
But God reminds me His love will last.
[Bridge]
In every goodbye, thereās a promise true,
That Godās hand is holding both me and you.
Though oceans divide, His love remains,
He carries us through joy and pain.
[Chorus]
Far from home, but never alone,
The Lord is my guide wherever I roam.
Through every tear, through every prayer,
He watches over here and there.
I miss my family, I miss the past,
But God reminds me His love will last.
[Outro]
So Iāll hold on, though Iām far away,
Godās with me now and every day.
Homesick, yes, but not in despair,
His love bridges the distance, everywhere.
