A new chapter: from startups to corporate life

After years of working in local startups and SMEs, I’ve recently stepped into the corporate world for the first time — and it’s been quite an experience.

Working with people from across the world in a global firm has been exciting. I’m learning how big organizations operate — the systems, the structure, and the processes that keep everything running smoothly. Even simple things like printing a payslip or getting a certificate of employment feel so convenient here.

At the same time, I’ve started to appreciate the balance between structure and agility — how corporate stability can co-exist with the creativity and adaptability I learned from startups.

This shift also marks another turning point: moving from web development to low-code development with ServiceNow. I honestly never imagined myself in corporate, much less in a low-code platform, but it feels like the right next step — something more strategic and stable.

My career path was never linear or perfectly planned: from a marketing degree to pursuing roles in IT, from customer service to software testing to web dev, and now to low-code. But I’ve learned that degrees and job titles don’t define us — our growth, curiosity, and adaptability do.

I’m also grateful I discovered my multipotentialite and entrepreneurial side early on. It helps me stay curious and creative even in structured spaces like this.

Here’s to embracing transitions, learning from every chapter, and keeping that spark alive wherever we go. 🌱

“The Ripple Effect of Tech Communities”

My world became wider because of local tech communities. 🌏

Even if I’m a core team member of one, I still enjoy attending other meetups — each with its own vibe, stories, and lessons. Lately, I’ve found the eHeads: Engineering Heads meetup especially valuable, where I get to learn from CTOs, tech leads, and engineering managers sharing real experiences from the trenches.

These communities didn’t directly lead me to jobs, but they gave me something far greater — inspiration, perspective, and genuine connections.
And sometimes, the impact goes both ways.

A few years ago, I was invited by a student to test his thesis capstone. Today, that same Gen Z dev has become a Senior Full Stack Developer in his first company, founded an internal GenAI tech community, gives tech talks at local events and universities, and even serves as a core team member of a tech community — just like me.

He once messaged me:
“Thanks for being an inspiration to us younger IT/Developers!” ❤️

I never intended to mentor him, but seeing his growth reminded me that sometimes inspiring even one person — unintentionally — is already a huge impact.

This is why I love being part of tech communities. We don’t just share knowledge — we share momentum. 🚀

Grateful and honored to once again be part of the PH100 2025 by StellarPH! 🥳

Last year, I proudly represented my local IT roots with Akubo. This year, I take on a new chapter — representing my venture studio as Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Innovation Venture Technologies 🚀

For me, this recognition isn’t just about being listed. It’s a reminder of the responsibility we hold as young professionals, innovators, and builders — to use our skills, influence, and work to create meaningful impact.

I’m humbled to stand alongside fellow talents from diverse fields who continue to push boundaries and contribute to nation-building. Looking forward to learning, collaborating, and growing with this inspiring community! 🙌

Thank you to StellarPH for this continued initiative, and to everyone who keeps believing in what we do. Above all, grateful to G! ☝️
