But hereโ€™s the truthโ€ฆ one day they will sleep on their own. One day theyโ€™ll outgrow your arms. One day they wonโ€™t fit here at all.

So if today my baby needs me to hold him until heโ€™s in the deepest sleepโ€ฆ Iโ€™ll do it.

Not because Iโ€™m spoiling him.
Not because Iโ€™m making bad habits.
But because this stage is fleeting. And my arms are the safest place he knows.

Weโ€™re not here to raise perfectly โ€œindependentโ€ kids from birth. Weโ€™re here to love them so deeply that independence grows from security not from being pushed away before theyโ€™re ready.
