The ๐๐ฏ ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ค, during its session today, June 10, 2026, acted on G.R. No. E-06540, ๐๐ฐ๐ฉ๐ฏ ๐๐ข๐ณ๐ณ๐บ ๐. ๐๐ข๐บ๐ข๐ฎ ๐ท. ๐๐ฆ๐ฏ. ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ ๐๐ฆ๐ต๐ฆ๐ณ ๐. ๐๐ข๐บ๐ฆ๐ต๐ข๐ฏ๐ฐ, ๐๐ฆ๐ฏ. ๐๐ช๐ญ๐ข๐ณ ๐๐ถ๐ญ๐ช๐ข๐ฏ๐ข โ๐๐ช๐ขโ ๐. ๐๐ข๐บ๐ฆ๐ต๐ข๐ฏ๐ฐ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ฆ๐ฏ. ๐๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฏ๐ข ๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ช๐ฏ๐ข โ๐๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ฏโ ๐. ๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ข๐ณ๐ฅ๐ข, by dismissing the petition filed by Tayam, for lack of legal standing.
The SC ruled that Tayam failed to show that he suffered, or was at imminent risk of suffering, any direct injury from the actions he challenged.
Tayam had asked the SC to declare the presence of 12 senators during the June 3, 2026 session of the 20th Congress as a valid quorum.
