𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. 🫶🏻
“𝑆𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑚𝑎𝑡 𝑝𝑜, 𝑀𝑎’𝑎𝑚, 𝑑𝑎ℎ𝑖𝑙 𝑖𝑘𝑎𝑤 𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑓𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑛𝑐𝑖𝑎𝑙 𝑎𝑑𝑣𝑖𝑠𝑜𝑟 𝑛𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑛. 𝑀𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑠𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑚𝑎𝑡 𝑝𝑜.”
Back in 2020, I consistently messaged him, sharing information, checking in, and offering help.
Pero during that time, hindi pa kaya ng budget at may ibang priorities sila, which I completely understood. Timing is everything.
Fast forward to this month, siya na mismo ang nag-reach out and said:
👉 “𝐻𝑎𝑏𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑚𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑘𝑎𝑠 𝑝𝑎 𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑘𝑖𝑡𝑎, 𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑎 𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑚 𝑘𝑜 𝑠𝑎𝑛 𝑛𝑎𝑝𝑢𝑝𝑢𝑛𝑡𝑎.”
That hit me.
This is what we mean by financial wisdom.
𝐇𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢 𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐤𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧, and when income slows down, we’ll be grateful we made smart decisions early.
This principle is also biblical.
Remember the story of Joseph in the time of famine. He saved during the season of plenty to prepare for the season of lack. 🙏
“Seven years of great abundance are coming throughout the land of Egypt, but seven years of famine will follow them…”
Genesis 41:29–30
Joseph didn’t just interpret the dream, he gave a solution: prepare while you can.
To my fellow advisors: Keep planting seeds, even if you don’t see the harvest right away. 🌱
To clients: The best time to plan was yesterday. The second-best time is today. ♥️
