LVA Training is not a requirement. It is essential, especially for Filipinos who want to work remotely with law firms abroad. The legal systems in countries like the US or Australia are completely different from what we have here in the Philippines, such as from how documents are prepared, to client communication, and even the tools they use daily.

Hence, proper training makes a huge difference. It helps us understand their processes, legal terms, and work culture to deliver tasks efficiently and professionally. It also builds confidence, knowing we can adapt and perform at the same level as someone working on-site with them.

It’s not just a requirement. It’s a stepping stone to thrive in the international legal support industry.

Every accomplishment, big or small, deserves to be celebrated. I’m proud to say I’ve officially finished my Legal Virtual Assistant (LVA) training!

It wasn’t an easy journey, especially since everything was new to me. No prior virtual assistant experience. I am just a fresh graduate trying to explore new opportunities and learn something outside my comfort zone.

But through this training, I discovered a profession that I actually enjoy and can see myself growing in.

Here’s to new beginnings, continuous learning, and believing that small steps still lead to big dreams!

Uso na naman ang press conferences and online opinions on pending cases. This is why I think those taking the bar in September should pay attention to the Sub-Judice rule, newly formulated under the CPRA, and subject of a 2023 SC Decision (ABS-CBN v. Ampatuan, Jr.) which was even reiterated by an OCA Circular in January 2024. See this:https://oca.judiciary.gov.ph/wp-content/uploads/OCA-Circular-No.-14-2024.pdf

As to what the CPRA says: A lawyer shall not use any forum or medium to comment or publicize opinion pertaining to a pending proceeding before any court, tribunal, or other government agency that may: (a) cause a prejudgment; or (b) sway public perception so as to impede, obstruct, or influence the decision of such court, tribunal, or other government agency, or which tends to tarnish the court's or tribunal's integrity, or (c) impute improper motives against any of its members, or (d) create a widespread perception of guilt or innocence before a final decision.

Tonkotsu ramen. This is what I usually order back home in the province. It was a smaller Japanese store, but I liked how it tasted. Lol. This was my first time trying it in a bigger restaurant, and it was a bit too flavorful for me. I think I’ll go for beef udon next time! FYI, this is one of their limited-time offers.📍丸亀製麺
