Starry Eyes

Starry Eyes is one of the best representation of cult horror. Starry Eyes stands out with its use of practical effects and doesn't shy away from showing a bit of blo0dy gore and some nudity, all of which was done tastefully. Highly recommended....

A hopeful young starlet with starry eyes uncovers the ominous origins of the Hollywood elite and enters into a deadly agreement in exchange for fame and fortune.

Noroi: The Curse

The latter part of the film was very disturbing, I couldn't get my eyes off the screen, but at the same time, I knew something was going to happen, be it a shocking reveal, or a dreadful exposure of the truth. The ending creeped the hell out of me. Noroi did a phenomenal job on that one....

Martyrs

Her every action is burdened by trauma/guilt, hoping to free herself from it's grasp. This also reminded me of "Possum (2018)", who also tackled the same subject. Trauma took on a form itself, and seemed like it acted on its own, it was very well done and unique. It added that supernatural feel to it, and gave the viewer a deeper understanding of it....

Martyrs: Two young women who were both victims of abuse as children embark on a bloody quest for revenge, only to find themselves plunged into a living hell of depravity.
