CHECKMATE!

The defense counsel for VP Sara, Atty. Mark Vinluan, sought to challenge the testimony of NBI Director Melvin Matibag during the impeachment trial.

About two months ago, a video of Matibag confronting Mel Sabio circulated on social media. During cross-examination, Atty. Vinluan asked whether the incident reflected an emotional outburst on his part. Matibag answered, “Yes,” explaining that his remarks were driven by a combination of “anger” and “disappointment.”

In that video, Matibag said:

“I-report mo. Dahil pag pinatay kita, walang ebidensya. Putangina ka! Putangina ka!”

If Matibag himself characterizes those remarks as an emotional outburst rather than a grave threat, then why does he consider VP Sara’s statement to constitute a grave threat?

Nagbigay daw ng tulong pinansyal si boy singhot para sa pamilya ng mga biktima ng pamamaril sa Tacloban city sa pamamagitan ni Tambaloslos. Ngunit tinanggihan ito ng mga kaanak, sa halip ang ni rerequest nila ay makausap man lamang si VP Inday Sara Duterte kahit sa pamamagitan ng telepono. Nakarating kay Bise Presidente ang balita, dispuez nag punta ng personal sa Tacloban si VP Inday at nakiramay doon, na ikinatuwa ng mga kaanak ng mga biktima. 😘

Kahit sa Tacloban na teretoryo ng mga Marcos at Romualdez ay isinisuka na ang mga ito ng kanilang mga kababayan doon. 😜
