Dear Me,
I know you’ve been carrying a lot quietly. There are days you smile easily, and there are days when even getting through the day feels heavier than anyone realizes. Still, you keep going. That matters more than you give yourself credit for.
I hope you remember that growth is rarely dramatic. Most of the time, it looks like small decisions: getting out of bed, trying again after disappointment, choosing kindness when you’re tired, and believing there’s still something ahead worth reaching for.
You don’t have to have everything figured out right now. Life changes. People change. Dreams change too. What feels confusing today may someday make perfect sense. Give yourself permission to learn as you go.
Please stop measuring your worth by productivity, validation, or how quickly you succeed. You are not falling behind. Your path is simply your own.
There will be moments when you doubt yourself, when fear gets loud, when comparisons steal your peace. In those moments, remember how much you’ve already survived. Remember the version of you that once thought they couldn’t make it through certain days — and did anyway.
Keep protecting your softness. The world can be harsh, but you do not have to become harsh to survive in it.
I hope you continue to chase the things that make you feel alive: the conversations that feel like home, the music that understands you, the quiet moments, the laughter that comes unexpectedly, the dreams that refuse to leave your heart.
And if things ever feel overwhelming, don’t disappear into silence. Rest. Ask for help. Start again slowly if you need to. There is strength in continuing.
One day, you’ll look back and realize that the person you were becoming during the difficult seasons was someone stronger, wiser, and more whole than you imagined.
