82PH Stories | Ang Kwento ni Palawan - Ayoko na gumala!
I intentionally delayed completing the 82 provinces of the Philippines since it was hurdled by pandemic when I planned to do it way back March 2020.
And finally, after 3 years of delay, tapos na and bago ko tapusin ito, I am fully decided to retire from frequent travelling (of course I will still travel at least every year). I enjoyed my stay in Palawan (Agutaya and Cuyo) even though I dont have a planned itinerary since I planned it to make this last hooray a bang of 14 days of solid unexpected experience.
I decided to end my travel journey in Agutaya and Cuyo in Palawan in which most of the Palaweños came from. It was my best 12 days of full pack unexpected travel experience, and I am satisfied, convinced that this is the last backpacking I will do and the rest of my travel will be more of light and just a typical travels.
On the 13th day, I arrived in mainland Palawan and meron pa akong extra 2 days, so I decided to do a sidetrip in Port Barton in San Vicente, Palawan. I planned to go at Bato ni Ningning and Long Beach, and fortunately, parang inaadya ng kapalaran dahil naging smooth lahat from Puerto Princesa, may saktong van na papunta ng Port Barton, di available yung contact ko that day pero may available na tourguide sa tourism office kaya napuntahan ko agad ang Bato ni Ningning and Long Beach same day nang dumating ako sa Port Barton.
On the 14th day, the island hopping in Port Barton is just a take for granted dahil wala naman talaga sa plano ko ang magisland hopping dahil sunog na sunog na ang balat ko, pero dahil nandoon na din ako kinuha ko na din dahil free time ko naman. So I contacted a boatman and join a joiner island hopping which I rarely do, kasi 90% of my travels ay DIY talaga. At the boat, it happened that the rest of the joiners are all foreigners, and all of them are solo backpackers. To cut the story short, we shared our experiences about travels and most of them ay madami ng napuntahan na bansa. Its amazing and inspiring, kahit naman sino matutuwa makarinig ng mga ganon na experience.
Fast forward, one thing in common sa kanila is they are all happy, we are happy in travelling. All of them do not give so much value on material things, mas importante sa kanila ang experiences and memories, at ang saya ko kasi nakikita ko sarili ko sa kanila. Ganon din ako, I don't give much value on material things, wala akong mamahalin na gamit, and di ako bumibili ng gamit na di ko kayang dalhin sa bundok. Yes, I am happy travelling, I am contented, this is my outlet, bakit ako titigil kung ito ang nagpapasaya sakin. In a blink, I decided to still do backpacking, to continue what I am doing, kasi ito talaga ang nagpapasaya sakin.
Yes, I knew what Philippines can offer though I still want to discover more isolated and remote areas in the country. Pero, puntahan din natin 'yong ibang bansa baka pwede din natin kumpletuhin lahat ng bansa sa mundo? 'Cause why not? I don't want to leave this world unexplored. Let's discover the unknown, let's discover more!
