Spending International Coffee Day at BukSu Eris Coffee was truly meaningful, especially with the younger generation of aspiring coffee brewers.

My heartfelt thanks to Sir Eros Andrei for the invitation and for creating such a wonderful space where college students could connect, learn, and discover more about pourover/specialty coffee. I had a fulfilling time sharing insights, exchanging stories, and witnessing the curiosity and passion of those eager to explore the world of coffee. Moments like these remind me that the future of coffee is bright, fueled by the enthusiasm of the next generation.

Learning the art beyond the cup, our Brewing and Sensory Class with Julia Chen was a beautiful reminder that coffee is not only about skill, but also about engaging the senses. Held at Little Owl, Don Carlos on September 2, 2025, at 10:00 AM, the session gave participants the chance to deepen their appreciation for both brewing techniques and sensory awareness.

We also had the chance to ask Julia what makes her keep coming back to the Philippines. With a smile, she shared, “People and the beauty of nature—and English of course, hahaha.”
