“The Unseen Effort”
At Lake Lanao College Incorporated, tucked within Barangay Basak Malut-lut, Marawi City, lived a student named Beauty a soul who never asked to be praised, only to be understood.
Every day, Beauty gave what they could. Time. Energy. Pieces of themselves. All in quiet hopes that their efforts would lead to something better not just for themselves, but for the school, for everyone.
Then came a message. A simple one, but heavy. It didn’t correct anything clearly. It didn’t guide. It didn’t say, “This is where you went wrong.” No it only came when the silence grew thick, like someone waiting in the shadows for a stumble, not to help, but to watch.
And that’s what hurt.
Not the correction. Not the pressure.
But the realization that some don’t care if you're trying they’re just waiting for you to fail.
Still, Beauty stood still. Swallowed the pain. Breathed through the hinanakit. Because even when the world is unfair, a heart that gives doesn’t stop giving.
“They didn’t see me. But I see myself. And that’s more than enough to keep going.”
Because Beauty knows: the ones who walk with truth may not always be recognized — but they will always rise.
