Freddie Aguilar, the legendary Filipino musician behind the iconic song "Anak," has passed away. He was known for his powerful music that inspired millions worldwide. Some notable facts about Freddie Aguilar include:

- He wrote "Anak" as an apology to his parents after leaving home at 18, which became the best-selling Filipino song of all time.
- He left electrical engineering studies to pursue music, and it paid off.
- He performed in over 50 countries, spreading Filipino culture globally.
-Freddie proudly wore the barong tagalog and other native attire during performances — a symbol of his love for Filipino identity and heritage
- "Anak" has been covered by over 100 artists in 51 languages, making it an international anthem.

Freddie Aguilar may be gone, but his legacy lives on. His music was the soundtrack to a revolution that brought about change and paved the way for a new era in Philippine history.
