During a video call after computing our recent baguio trip expenses:
Me: βAy, magbabayad na din pala ako ng Meralco!β
*Gets up excitedly to grab the bill from the ref while literally singing βBills! Bills! Bills!β*
Him: βExcited magbayad?!β
Me: βSyempre! Dapat masaya pag magbabayad ng bills kasi pinakinabangan ko naman βto.β π
Hereβs the thing about bills - weβve been programmed to dread them.
Kuryente? Stress.
Water bill? Ugh.
Credit card statement? Panic mode.
But what if we flipped the script?
That electricity bill? It powered the aircon that kept me comfortable while working from home. It charged my laptop which is my main device to coach my clients. It kept my wifi router running so I could stay connected with my loved ones.
Suddenly, that bill becomes a receipt for comfort, productivity, and connection.
This is what I call βhappy moneyβ - money spent with joy because youβre crystal clear on the value it brought to your life.
When you pay bills happily, youβre acknowledging that you received something valuable in return.
And money spent with gratitude? It multiplies!
Your relationship with money starts with how you think about it.
Try this ngayong kinsenas: Before paying your next bill, pause and think about what that service gave you the previous month. π
