📢 Trillion Peso March – Setyembre 21, 2025

Mga kapwa Pilipino,
Sa araw ng Linggo, Setyembre 21, 2025, tayo ay magsasama-sama sa People Power Monument, EDSA corner White Plains, Quezon City, 2:00 PM para sa isang malaking pagkilos laban sa katiwalian.

Ang Trillion Peso March ay panawagan ng mga lider ng Simbahang Katoliko at Protestante, kasama ng iba’t ibang organisasyon ng mamamayan, upang kondenahin ang bilyon-bilyong pisong nawawala sa flood control projects. Ang perang dapat sana’y nagpoprotekta sa mga pamilya laban sa baha ay nauuwi lamang sa bulsa ng iilan.

📌 Hindi aksidente ang petsa at lugar ng pagkilos:

Setyembre 21 – ika-53 anibersaryo ng deklarasyon ng Batas Militar sa ilalim ni Ferdinand Marcos Sr., isang madilim na yugto ng ating kasaysayan.

People Power Monument – paalala ng tagumpay ng bayan noong 1986 nang mapatalsik ang diktadurang Marcos.

Ang pangalang Trillion Peso March ay hango sa ₱1.9 trilyong ginugol sa flood control sa nakalipas na 15 taon, malaking bahagi nito ay nauwi sa korapsyon. Ito ay kahalintulad ng Million People March noong 2013, ang unang malakihang kilos-protesta na binuo sa social media laban sa pork barrel scam.

My Deepest Condolences
As a follower of Charlie Kirk, hearing of his death has hit me hard. I may be thousands of miles away here in the Philippines, but I felt his words, his conviction, and his fight for the values I also believe in. To his wife Erika, to his children, and all those who loved him — please know my prayers and heart go out to you in this unbearably painful time. May God grant you strength, comfort, and peace. 🙏

A Brief Biography
Charlie Kirk was a prominent conservative activist from the U.S., founder of Turning Point USA. He was known for his strong Christian beliefs, his speaking across colleges, his podcast and media presence, and for standing firmly for what he believed were timeless truths — the importance of faith, freedom, responsibility, and defending what he saw as traditional values. He inspired many young people to be more engaged in civic life, to speak boldly, and to stand up for what they consider right.

Details of His Passing
On September 10, 2025, while speaking at Utah Valley University during an event called The American Comeback Tour, Charlie was shot in the neck.
The event was his “Prove Me Wrong” format, where he interacted with students, challenging ideas and being challenged.
He was 31 years old.
Authorities are investigating; a suspect hasn’t been officially confirmed in custody for the shooting.
