Kinumpirma ng Commission on Appointments (CA) ang pagkakatalaga kay Gov. Divina Grace C. Yu bilang Colonel ng Philippine Army (Reserve).

Kabilang si Gov. Yu sa 38 opisyal ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na kinumpirma ng CA ang mga ad interim appointment sa unang plenary session nito sa ilalim ng Second Regular Session ng 20th Congress nitong Huwebes, Agosto 13, 2026.

Kasama rin sa mga kinumpirmang opisyal ang bagong talagang AFP Chief of Staff na si General Antonio Nafarrete.

Ang pagkumpirma kay Gov. Yu bilang Army reservist officer ay pormal na nagpatibay sa kanyang ranggong Colonel (Reserve) sa Philippine Army.

Gov. Yu was among the 38 Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) officers whose ad interim appointments were confirmed by the CA during its first plenary session under the 20th Congress’ Second Regular Session on Thursday, August 13, 2026.

The confirmed officers included the newly appointed AFP Chief of Staff, General Antonio Nafarrete.

UPLIFT Cash Assistance Payout Successfully Conducted in Midsalip

The Municipality of Midsalip, through the support of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), successfully conducted the UPLIFT (Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food and Transport) Cash Assistance Payout today, August 12, 2026, at the Municipal Gymnasium, Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur.

A total of 1,094 beneficiaries from the following barangays received assistance:
