The Philippine Red Cross advised netizens to prepare their own “Go Bags” consisting of essentials to help them get by in case of evacuation following flooding in different parts of the country due to monsoon rains.

The kit includes the following items:
- Battery-powered radio
- Flashlight
- Portable water
- Ready to-eat food
- Whistle
- Batteries
- Dust or face mask
- Warmth essentials (jacket, blankets, mats, etc.)
- Trash bag
- Dining essentials
- Utility rope
- Important documents
- Hygiene kit
- First aid kit

“Mga kababayan, paalala ng inyong Philippine Red Cross na sa panahon ng kalamidad, maghanda ng emergency 'Go Bag' na tatagal ng 72 oras. Alamin ang mga nilalaman nito na inyong madadala kaagad kung kinakailangang lumikas,” DILG wrote in a Facebook post on Tuesday. (Facebook/DILG)
