Pioneers, we’ve reached over 18 million KYC’d and over 8 million Mainnet migrated Pioneers! Thanks to recent major speed upgrades, KYC applications and Mainnet migrations are processed faster than ever, i.e. nearly 200,000 Pioneers migrated in the last day. This means Open Network can launch as soon as possible in Q1 2025 while reducing the gap between KYC’ed and Mainnet migrated Pioneers for inclusivity and ecosystem stability at Open Network. Pi Network's migration speed has been significantly boosted, with the team successfully doubling the speed at which pioneers migrate from the testnet to the official Mainnet blockchain. This upgrade was achieved through technical optimizations, including tweaks to algorithms, queues, processes, and interactions, making the migration workflow more seamless and efficient. Tasks that once took minutes now take seconds.

The increased migration speed is expected to accelerate the growth of the Pi Network community, with more users completing their migration simultaneously without facing long wait times. This development brings Pi Network closer to its goal of transitioning to a fully decentralized "Open Network," with over 5.41 million pioneers already migrated to Mainnet.

In terms of daily migration speed, specific numbers aren't publicly available. However, the Pi Network team continues to work on further enhancements, aiming to expedite the migration process while maintaining security and network integrity.

Essential reminder — complete your Mainnet Checklist steps to migrate to Mainnet if you’ve completed KYC! Passing KYC alone will not enable the migration process yet because Pioneers still need to set up and confirm their wallet (and store the passphrase safely), sign the Token Acknowledgement, and finish any other steps on the Mainnet Checklist. Migration will be enabled only when the checklist steps are fully completed. All other steps can be completed even before KYC. No reason to wait on these steps especially after completing KYC, given the Grace Period deadlines. Migrate your Pi to Mainnet as soon as possible to avoid forfeiture and to use your Pi with others before and after Open Network.

PiFest 2024 has concluded! It was amazing to see the real local commerce utility of Pi demonstrated by Pi merchants and Pioneer shoppers around the world. Over 23,000 active and 24,000 test sellers from 167 countries and regions signed up in the Map of Pi app during the event! The posts on the Fireside channel and on social media were especially inspiring. Pioneers and merchants should continue their participation in Pi-powered local commerce beyond PiFest.
