Like any activity that involves the water, YOUR SAFETY IS ALWAYS PRIORITY. 🛟

In mermaiding, this means using proper mermaid equipment: a trusted rubber/silicone monofin, quality mermaid tail, and a good low volume mask (snorkel optional 🤿) And even then, funny things can happen — like this mermaid tail “inflammation” 😂

Best to train first at the pool and with a certified Mermaid Instructor, especially with introduction classes or certification courses to ensure professional quality teaching, and to start with a solid foundation.
