Four years.

It’s been exactly four years since I lost you, and yet... it still feels like yesterday. People often say time heals all wounds—but they never mention how grief doesn’t follow a schedule. It lingers quietly, tucked into the corners of everyday life, waiting to catch me off guard.

Every time I visit your grave, the tears still come. Not just from sadness, but from the weight of how much I miss you, how much I wish I could hear your voice, feel your hug, or share even the smallest story from my day.

Have I moved on? Honestly, no. I’ve just learned how to carry the pain a little better.

But I want you to know this: I’m trying. I’m doing my best to live in a way that would make you proud—even more proud than you already were. Your love, your pride in me—it still echoes in everything I do. And on the days when I feel like falling apart, I remind myself of the strength you saw in me. That helps me keep going.
