How my everyday life changed from being an employee to being a freelancer

I remember working onsite as a full-time employee for 5 years. Although, I love working with my coworkers, there are still other things that I don’t like working in an office-based setup.

Pinakauna na yung commute. Yung kelangan mo gumising ng maaga para hindi ma-late dahil sa traffic o kaya makikipagsiksikan sa MRT o makikipagunahan sumakay sa jeep o bus. I remember wishing na kahit isang araw man lang pwede akong gumising nang tanghali na lalo late ka na umuwi kagabi dahil sa OT. At kapag na-experience ko yun ang sarap sa pakiramdam.

But now as a freelancer, ibang-iba na…

Now I’m able to wake up late kasi hapon pa naman mag-start ang work ko and I have the flexibility to work whenever I want. Nakakapag-gym sa umaga. Naihahatid at sundo ko ang anak ko sa school. Nakakaattend sa school activities nya and most of all, makakapaghinga or nap pag-pagod na.
