Jump Point Hustle Naga captures historic win in NBL Under 10
By Ryan Mostar

HISTORIC, undefeated, unforgettable: Jump Point Hustle Naga rewrites the 10-Under basketball playbook, claiming the first-ever National Basketball League Youth title.

QUEZON CITY — Jump Point Hustle Naga delivered a milestone performance on the national stage, completing a perfect 5–0 campaign and capturing the first ever 10-Under championship of the National Basketball League Youth (NBL Youth), one of the country’s most competitive tournaments.

Representing Camarines Sur, the Naga-based squad went undefeated against top programs from across the Philippines, proving that discipline, preparation, and resilience can elevate young athletes to the highest level of competition. The title marks a significant achievement not only for the team but also for grassroots basketball development in the Bicol Region.

The championship game against Don Bosco Tarlac tested the team’s composure and character. Trailing by eight points at the end of the third quarter, Jump Point Hustle faced its toughest stretch of the ballgame. Instead of faltering, the squad responded with defensive stops, sharper ex*****on, and renewed intensity in the final period.

With 2:40 remaining in the fourth, Jump Point Hustle Naga buried two clutch three-pointers, overcame the deficit, and never looked back. The bench erupted as the team sealed the championship with decisive authority. It was a defining sequence that reflected months of preparation and a commitment to fundamentals.

Of the team’s 15 official players, 10 are student-athletes from Saint Joseph School, known as the Baby Dragons, with the majority coming from the Intermediate Department. The strong school representation underscores the vital role of formative-level development in shaping competitive athletes.

Head Coach JP Disuanco, together with assistant coaches Julius Vargas and Bum Sacil, emphasized defensive discipline throughout the season, instilling in the young players the belief that strong defense creates offensive opportunities. The coaching staff also focused on correcting mistakes immediately, guiding the players individually to ensure understanding and growth both on and off the court.

Beyond skills and strategy, the program places equal importance on character formation. At just 10 years old, the players are being trained not only to compete but also to develop discipline, emotional control, respect, and accountability—values that extend far beyond basketball.

The championship sends a powerful message to young athletes in Bicol: national-level success is attainable through consistent effort, structured training, and teamwork.

Winning, however, is not viewed as the final destination. The team’s focus now shifts back to continued improvement, deeper development, and preparation for future competitions. The standard has been raised, and expectations will follow.

With their unmatched pace and precise late-game ex*****on, Jump Point Hustle Naga effectively rewrote the youth basketball manual, delivering a championship that sets an unassailable standard in 10U basketball.

The genius behind Kiudkad: How a vision turned a hidden beach into paradise

By Ryan Mostar

SIRUMA, CAMARINES SUR — There was a time when the windswept shores of Barangay San Ramon were known only to fishermen, locals, and the occasional adventurer brave enough to navigate rough trails for a glimpse of the Pacific in its purest form.

Today, that same coastline surfaces in travel circles as one of Bicol’s most rewarding off-grid escapes. At the heart of this quiet awakening is Kiudkad – The Last Resort, a nature retreat born from the vision of a photographer and outdoor enthusiast who believes the best kind of luxury is uninterrupted ocean views.

More than eight years ago, that vision began not as a development plan, but as a personal discovery — a traveler stumbling upon a remote stretch of coast untouched by crowds and commerce. What stood there was a landscape of dramatic cliffs, wide sandy shores, coral-rich waters, and a profound stillness that lingers long after you’ve left — the kind of stillness that makes your phone feel awkward for even existing.

What started as a simple campsite for family and friends gradually evolved into a welcoming haven for fellow nature lovers. During the pandemic, when many sought refuge from the noise of city life, Kiudkad quietly opened to visitors looking for something rare: authenticity, simplicity, and reconnection with nature — plus a subtle reminder that perhaps life can thrive without traffic jams and delivery apps.

Kiudkad never aimed to be a luxury destination. Its charm lies in its raw honesty. Guests hike through trails, sleep to the rhythm of waves, wake to uninterrupted horizons, and experience coastal living that feels restorative and real. It is a place where nature speaks softly, and worries quietly step aside.

For many, the journey to Kiudkad became their introduction to Siruma itself — a municipality rich in natural wonders that had long remained off the radar. Through photographs, stories, and word of mouth, the retreat became an unexpected gateway to Siruma’s reefs ideal for freediving, scenic rock formations, and Pacific sunsets so serene they make you question why you ever set an alarm.

The guiding philosophy behind Kiudkad has always been simple: preserve the terrain, respect the environment, and let the landscape speak for itself. Rather than altering the coast, the retreat works with it — offering visitors an experience grounded in appreciation rather than alteration.

As travelers shared their experiences, Siruma’s name began appearing in conversations among backpackers, eco-tourists, and outdoor communities across Bicol and beyond. What was once considered difficult to reach now feels worth every dusty, bumpy, scenic kilometer.

More than drawing visitors, Kiudkad helped spark a broader curiosity about Siruma’s potential for sustainable, community-centered tourism — one that celebrates nature without overwhelming it.

Today, Kiudkad stands as more than a retreat. It is a reminder that sometimes, it takes one person’s deep appreciation for a place to help others see its value — someone who saw beauty where others saw distance, and opportunity where others saw isolation.

That person is Randall Dagooc, whose quiet vision transformed a hidden shoreline into a destination that now invites travelers to pause, explore, and carry Siruma’s quiet beauty long after they leave.

Pananagutan kan pay parking sa mall

Atty, kang nakapark an sakuyang awto sa sarong pay parking lot, nahabunan po ini. Isinumbong ko po sa management kang mall pero mayo daa sinda panimbagan sa arog kaiyan na insidente ta nakalaag daa sa parking ticket na 'the management is not responsible for any items lost or stolen.' Tama po tabi ini?

----

Pagtapos kaini, sinubukan gamiton an enot na unit, pero dai man nagamit nin maayos ta dai tugma an transmission. An ikatulong unit mas grabe pa an raot asin halos dai na magamit.

---

An kasunduan nindo may kinalaman sa bilihan nin sasakyan. Dai klaro kun ini contract to sell pa sana o contract of sale na, o kun nakasurat asin pirmado an kasunduan nindo. Sa ilalim kan batas, may obligasyon an seller na siguraduhon na an pigbebenta niya mayong nakatagong depekto asin magagamit nin tama kan buyer base sa tunay kaining gamit. Kun dai niya ini nasunod, arog kan nangyari saimo, may pananagutan siya.

Bilang buyer na dai nagamit nin maayos an mga sasakyan, puwede mong ipawarang bisa (i-rescind) an kontrata, ibalik an mga sasakyan, asin bawi-on an kwarta na naibayad mo bilang downpayment. Obligasyon kan seller na ibalik ini. Para maging pormal an pag-rescind mo kan kontrata, padarhan mo siya nin surat na nagsasabing kinacancel mo an kontrata dahil dai niya nasunod an kasunduan nindo, asin mag-demand ka man na ibalik an kwarta sa laog nin nakatakdang aldaw.

Kun dai niya sundon an demand letter, puwede kang magsampa nin kaso sa korte laban saiya. Depende sa detalye kan nangyari, puwede ini maging civil case para mabawi an kwarta, o criminal case na estafa kun may panlilinlang na nangyari.

One Big Run 2026 kicks off the year with fitness, camaraderie, and community spirit
By Jake Adam M. Badong

Naga City, Philippines --- The Ateneo de Naga University campus welcomed the first light of 2026 with energy, excitement, and more than 1,500 eager feet pounding the pavement for One Big Run 2026. Organized by the Ateneo Student Ambassadors (ASA) in partnership with the University Student Recruitment Office (USRO), the fun run marked the first major running event of the year in Naga City that drew students, alumni, and fitness enthusiasts from across the region.

The day began at 4:00 AM with a lively warm-up session that set the tone for a morning of wellness and camaraderie. The 10KM race started promptly at 4:30 AM, with the 5KM and 3KM categories following in ten-minute intervals that took runners along scenic routes around the Ateneo campus and surrounding streets.

For many participants, more than a test of stamina, One Big Run 2026 was an opportunity to start the year on a positive note that embraces the spirit of wellness and personal growth. All proceeds from the run are allocated to support the humanitarian initiatives of the ASA and the Marahuyo 2026: The Ateneo Open House, which highlights the event’s commitment to meaningful student-led projects. Race logistics were smooth and well-managed, with hydration stations, clearly marked routes, and on-site medical assistance provided by the Ateneo College Red Cross Youth in coordination with the City Health Office, Public Safety Office, and Philippine National Police. Top finishers were awarded medals, trophies, and cash prizes, while all participants received race kits complete with event shirts, bibs, and post-race snacks.

Beyond the physical challenge, the run reflected the Ignatian values of cura personalis— care for the whole person— and magis, that inspired participants to go beyond themselves in service and community engagement.

With its record turnout and flawless ex*****on, One Big Run 2026 set an uplifting tone for the year ahead. More than the medals and refreshments, the early morning ended with a renewed sense of energy, connection, and shared purpose that made a memorable start to 2026 in the Ateneo community and Naga City.
