Atty. Amando Virgil Ligutan serves as legal counsel to the House panel of prosecutors, helping present the case supporting Article IV (Grave Threats) of the Articles of Impeachment against Vice President Sara Duterte.
A graduate of the University of the Philippines College of Law, Ligutan also earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of San Carlos as ๐ด๐ถ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ข ๐ค๐ถ๐ฎ ๐ญ๐ข๐ถ๐ฅ๐ฆ.
He is the managing partner of Sapayan Lim Alvarez & Ligutan (SALiGAL) Law and previously worked as a junior associate at Angara Abello Concepcion Regala & Cruz (ACCRA) Law Offices. Over the years, he has advised local chief executives and lawmakers and handled several high-profile cases involving local government officials.
Outside the courtroom, Ligutan is also a law professor, having taught subjects such as Labor Law, Remedial Law, and Public International Law at the University of the Philippines College of Law, the University of San Jose-Recoletos School of Law, and the University of Cebu School of Law.
