Zaldy Co's Own Son Speaks Out Against His Father!
This is one painful and tragic story.
The son of Congressman Elizaldy Co, now tagged as one of the key players in the multi-billion Ghost Flood Control scandal, has issued a shocking public statement urging his father to "appear before the people and be accountable once and for all."
Ellis Co, 23, a rising fashion designer who by his own public admission had been estranged from his father, issued the statement in the wake of the raging scandal involving hundreds of billions in flood control projects where his father's name was prominently mentioned as one of the key figures.
The older Co, a Party List Congressman representing Ako Bicol and a known close associate of resigned House Speaker Martin Romualdez, has been identified by witnesses as having amassed billions of pesos from irregular or ghost flood control projects.
He was the Chairman on the Congressional Committee on Appropriations until early this year when he was yanked out on the motion of Congressman Sandro Marcos.
"I am not just speaking out against a politician. I am speaking out against my father and if this decision gets me disowned, I would rather face that consequence than watch millions of people suffer from his actions." Ellis Co said in a published statement.
This is very painful and if Zaldy Co has any self-respect and shame left, he should give in the wishes of his son to come home and face consequences of his action.
Indeed, it has been proven again that the children of corrupt politicians will carry the cross and bear the stigma of their parents' evil deeds.
