May kalsadang bago, pero putikan,
May gusaling tapos, pero walang laman.
Ngiting peke, sanay na ang bayan,
Sa proyektong multo, tayo ang talunan.

Tinatanggap ang multo, kapalit ay boto,
Pinapaikot ng pangakong de-peligrong tono.
Ngunit gisingin natin, puso at damdamin,
Ang bayan ay lugmok, kung tayo'y mananahimik.

Ngayon ang panahon, bayan ay gisingin,
Lalo na ang kabataan, dapat kumilos narin.

𝗗𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗟 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | 𝗕𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟮𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗣𝗩𝗠 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲

BSED Science 4B students, Yvonne F. Galas, Chrisnel E. Tomo, Jackie T. Pastias, Mariah Mae G. Bertuldo, Geraldine A. Biene, Michael A. Baroquillo, Edelyn T. Palermo, alongside Dr. Faith Celeste B. Ole, from Carlos Hilado Memorial State University were awarded Best Poster in the SPVM Physics Education Category for their presentation titled "Visual and Interactive Instructional Materials for Teaching the General Theory of Relativity." This recognition took place on October 25, 2025, in the University of San Agustin, Iloilo City, Philippines.

Moreover, a special recognition to Vincent C. Algarme 4A and Jhon Dave Larra 4B who also participated with their respective posters alongside with Galas during the said conference.

The 27th SPVM National Physics Conference was held alongside several notable events, including the 2025 International Conference on Advanced Function Materials and Nanotechnology, the 2025 Meeting on Complex Systems, the 2025 International Conference on Particles and Radiation, the ST&I National Pitching Competition on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 2025, and the 2nd International Symposium on Sustainable Nanomaterials Addressing Environmental Challenges.

Lastly, the achievement of students, teachers, and the school at the 27th SPVM National Physics Conference highlights the dedication and creativity. It also shows the importance of fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among researchers and educators.

This move is part of safety precautions for everyone’s protection.

𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬

A minor ash emission was observed at the summit crater of Kanlaon Volcano from 6:47 AM to 7:17 AM today, October 12, 2025. The event produced grayish plumes rising up to 300 meters above the crater before drifting southeast.

Alert Level 2 remains in effect, indicating increased volcanic unrest. Residents and visitors are strongly advised to avoid the 4-kilometer Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ) and remain vigilant for possible volcanic hazards.

Manila, Philippines – Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson officially stepped down as the Chairman of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee on Sunday, October 5, 2025, following criticisms of his leadership in the Senate’s ongoing flood control issue.

"Rightly or wrongly, when quite a number of them have expressed disappointment over how I'm handling the flood control project anomalies, I thought it's time for me to step aside in favor of another member who they think can handle the committee better," Lacson said.

"No amount of criticism coming from misinformed netizens or partisan sectors can distract or pressure me from doing my job right, but when my peers start expressing their group or individual sentiments, maybe it is the best to vacate," he added.

On Sunday morning, the senator revealed his decision in an interview with dzBB, citing the dismay expressed by other government officials, particularly from Senators JV Ejercito and Win Gatchalian. In the same interview, Lacson stated that his resignation letter would be formally submitted to the plenary session once the Senate meeting resumes.
