Dako nga Pasalamat sa Usa Ka Grasyang Adlaw

Among dakong pasalamat kang Rev. Msgr. Christian Durango, Vicar General sa Diocese of Dumaguete, isip representante ni Most Rev. Julito B. Cortes, D.D., Obispo sa Diocese of Dumaguete, sa iyang pagbisita ug pagpaambit sa mensahe sa pagtuo atol sa Pastoral Visitation sa atong parokya, Our Mother of Perpetual Help – Manalongon, niadtong Agosto 5, 2025.

Dako usab among pasalamat sa tanang kaparian, mga lider sa parokya, ug tanan nga nanambong ug nakiisa niadtong adlawa. Ang inyong presensya ug panaghiusa usa ka dakong pamatuod sa buhi natong pagtuo. Padayon ta nga maghiusa, mag-alagad uban ang gugma, ug magatubo diha kang Kristo.

Rev. Msgr. Christian Durango (Vicar General) in his Homily, he said "We have to become bridges, and we have to become bridge builders for the people to truly encounter Christ."

Gitawag ta sa Ginoo nga mahimong tulay para sa uban. Ang pasabot, tabangan nato sila nga muduol ug mas makaila pa gyud kang Jesus. Dili lang nato sila giyaon, apan ubanan nato sila sa ilang paglakaw sa pagtuo.

Apan dili ra tulay ang atong papel, kundi mahimong komunidad pud ta, sama sa usa ka baryo nga puno sa gugma ug kalipay. Dinhi makabati ang tawo nga sila dawaton, higugmaon, ug atimanon.

Busa, kinahanglan maminaw ta, mag-ampo uban nila, ug magpakita sa tinuod nga buhat sa gugma sa Ginoo. Dili lang nato sila i-konekta kang Kristo, apan ubanan nato sila sa ilang pagtubo sa pagtuo.

Ang atong kinabuhi mismo mahimong dalan padulong kang Kristo ug balay nga modawat kanila inig-abot nila. Kung mahimo ta nga tulay para sa uban, mahimong buhi kitang saksi sa gugma sa Diyos para sa kalibutan.

Gisugdan kini sa makusog nga tugtog ug mabulukong sayaw, gisundan sa misa ug kumpirma, consultation, ug pagbisita sa masakiton—usa gyud ka tinuod nga adlaw sa grasya, pagtuo, ug panaghiusa alang sa tibuok parokya.

Adlaw nga nagpahinumdom nga ang simbahan dili lang usa ka lugar, apan usa ka panaghiusa sa katawhan nga nagtinabangay sa pag-alagad ug pagampo.

Our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved Family of +Fr. Bolongon. Let us all pray for Fr. Oliver’s eternal rest. May he rest in peace.

Eternal rest grant unto the soul of +Fr. Bolongon, O Lord, and let perpetual shine upon him. 🕊️

It is with grief and sorrow but with faith in the God of resurrection and life that we inform you of the death of REV. FR. OLIVER P. BOLONGON, 47, who passed away earlier today, May 19, 2025.

Bishop Julito Cortes and the Dumaguete Clergy and Religious will celebrate the Holy Mass for the soul of +Fr. Bolongon tomorrow at 9:00 AM at St. Catherine of Alexandria Cathedral, Dumaguete City.

You are welcome if you wish to join us in the celebration of the Holy Mass.
