The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is looking for qualified and interested applicants to the International Cadetship Program at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy (USCGA) — Class of 2030!

Successful applicants will become REGULAR CADETS at the USCGA. They will receive financial support to cover tuition fees, monthly payments, allowances, accommodation, transportation costs, and government benefits.

Upon graduation, they will be commissioned into the Coast Guard service with the rank of ENSIGN and will render a minimum of EIGHT YEARS OF CONTINUOUS SERVICE.

𝗖𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗧 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗧𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 | Before embracing cadet life, MIDSHIPMAN 1CL LUCKY GEAN S. PENINOY of Ligao City, Albay carried the responsibilities of being the first-born child, serving as a role model to his siblings. An athlete at heart, he honed discipline and resilience through competition. Motivated by the dream of serving the public while studying without financial burden, he accepted the challenge of joining the Philippine Military Academy—believing cadetship to be the best path toward self-mastery, a virtue essential in both personal and professional life.

His journey at PMA was far from easy. The toughest test came during plebehood—a period of fatigue, emotional strain, and moments of doubt that nearly led him to resign. Yet, he chose perseverance, standing firm in his dream and enduring a year of unrelenting challenges.

Guided by his philosophy—“𝘏𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘪𝘴 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘥”—and inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s reminder that a well-employed life brings fulfillment, he learned to transform obstacles into opportunities for growth.

To those who aspire to follow his path, his advice is clear: dream, pray, and let determination pave the way—for every effort will speak for itself.

Now serving as 4th “Dignity” Battalion Commander of the Cadet Corps Armed Forces of the Philippines, he carries with him the values of perseverance, discipline, and self-mastery.

✅ At least 5’0” (60 inches) in height
✅ No tattoo
✅ Physically and mentally fit for training

Marine Candidate Soldier:
✅ 18–24 years old and 3 months upon appointment
✅ Filipino citizen and of good moral character
✅ Single and never been married
✅ K-12 graduate, or at least 72 college units, or TESDA NCII for old curriculum HS graduates
✅ At least 5’0” (60 inches) in height
✅ No tattoo
✅ Physically and mentally fit for training
