The Dreamcatcher screens Grade 7 aspiring writers

The Dreamcatcher, the official school paper of Dalapitan High School, conducted a screening for Grade 7 aspiring student-writers through a writing test on August 11, 2026, led by school paper adviser Sir Jeric Alvarez.

The writing test served as an opportunity for the participants to demonstrate their writing skills and potential in campus journalism as part of the selection process for the school publication.

The screening marked the publication’s effort to discover and develop young writers who may become part of the Dreamcatcher and contribute to telling stories within the school community.

Dalapitan High School Celebrates Nutrition Month 2026

Dalapitan High School proudly celebrated Nutrition Month 2026 from July 27 to 31 with the theme “Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan”. The week-long program was organized by the TLE Mother Club officers and advisers, aimed to promote healthy living and environmental care through a series of engaging activities.

The celebration opened with a kick-off program featuring guest speaker, Jeclyn D. Filipinas, who inspired students to embrace wellness and sustainability. This was followed by the Nutrifact Quiz, a quiz‑bee style contest that tested students’ knowledge about nutrition. And the nutri-jingle contest that aimed to promote healthy eating habits and raise nutrition awareness among students through creativity and music.

Another highlight was the “100 Malunggay para sa Dreamers” tree‑planting activity, where section representatives planted malunggay trees around the Gulayan sa Paaralan. This initiative promoted sustainable nutrition while encouraging students to care for the environment.

Overall, the event emphasized that being healthy means staying active, protecting nature, and working together as a community.

DHS SCHOOL INSPECTION: Ensuring Standards and Safety

The Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) of Dalapitan High School conducted a scheduled school inspection today, June 24, 2026, with full assistance and guidance from the School Prefect of Discipline.

The activity focused on bag inspections and security checks as students arrived and entered the campus. The team carefully examined belongings to ensure no prohibited items were brought inside, and that learners followed proper school guidelines upon entry.

After completing the checks, the team reported all conditions were good — absolutely no violations, prohibited items, or irregularities were found. Every student cooperated willingly and showed full compliance with school policies.

Take the Lead: Dreamers Elect New Club Leaders

Dalapitan High School students actively participated in the simultaneous club elections on June 10, 2026, for School Year 2026–2027, choosing the leaders who will guide their respective clubs throughout the year.

The elections were conducted in two sets. During the first hour of the morning, students cast their votes for the English, Filipino, Mathematics, and Science Clubs. This was followed by the elections for the MAPEH, TLE, A.P, and ESP Clubs during a separate time slot.

With enthusiasm and a strong sense of responsibility, students carefully selected their club officers, entrusting them with the task of leading various programs and activities. While each club serves a unique purpose, all newly elected leaders share one common goal—to serve the Dreamers and contribute to the growth of the DHS community.
