They donโ€™t wear capes, but they carry the weight of dreams on their shoulders. They donโ€™t soar through skies, but they elevate minds, hearts, and hopes with every word they speak. Teachers are the silent champions of everyday lifeโ€”waging battles not with swords, but with compassion, resilience, and the power of knowledge. In the hum of electric fans and the rhythm of chalk against worn-out boards, they craft futures from fragments of curiosity and courage. They mend broken confidence, ignite dormant ambition, and nurture the kind of wisdom that no textbook can fully capture. With every lesson taught, every hand held, and every voice uplifted, teachers shape not just studentsโ€”but the soul of a nation.

This September, the Philippines once again turns its spotlight toward these everyday heroes through the celebration of National Teachersโ€™ Month, observed from September 5 to October 5. Anchored by DepEd Memorandum No. 067, s. 2025, this month-long tribute is more than ceremonialโ€”itโ€™s a collective act of gratitude. Itโ€™s a chance for students, parents, and communities to say thank you to the people who never stopped believing in the power of education, even when the odds were stacked against them.

So as we mark National Teachersโ€™ Month, letโ€™s go beyond applause and appreciation. Letโ€™s stand beside our educatorsโ€”not just in celebration, but in solidarity. Amidst crowded classrooms, limited resources, and the quiet sacrifices they make daily, teachers continue to show up with courage and grace. They are the steady light in uncertain times, the voice of hope when learning feels hard, and the reason so many dreams take flight. This month, and every month, letโ€™s honor them not just with wordsโ€”but with action, respect, and unwavering support. Because behind every diploma, every breakthrough, and every life transformed, thereโ€™s a teacher who chose to care. And that, more than anything, deserves our deepest gratitude.

At Dalapitan High School, students often talk about one teacher who is admired by many, Maโ€™am Winnie Joy Pascual. She is not only pretty, but also kind and caring. Her presence in the classroom makes learning more enjoyable and less stressful.

Her name itself seems to describe who she is. โ€œWINnie JOYโ€ feels like winning because of the joy she brings. Every day, Maโ€™am Pascual welcomes her students with a warm smile. Her beauty is noticeable, but what makes her stand out is her gentle way of teaching. She explains lessons clearly, making sure no one is left behind. When students make mistakes, she patiently guides them instead of scolding.

Many students say she makes them feel comfortable. She listens to their concerns, both in academics and in personal matters. โ€œShe inspires us to do better,โ€ one student shared. โ€œMaโ€™am Pascual believes in us, even when we doubt ourselves.โ€

Her kindness has earned the respect and love of both students and fellow teachers. For many, she is not only an educator but also a mentor and friend.

Truly, Maโ€™am Winnie Joy Pascualโ€™s beauty goes beyond her appearance. It is her kindness, patience, and dedication that make her shine as one of the most admired teachers in Dalapitan High School.

Dalapitan High School proudly celebrates one of its Grade 12 students, Brixter John Coloma D**a, who proved his strength and skill in basketball as part of the Municipality of Matalam Basketball Team Under 18 Category.

In the championship game against the Municipality of Kabacan, Brixter gave his best performance. The match was very intense, with both teams fighting hard for every point. Every shot, every rebound, and every pass mattered. The crowd cheered loudly as the score stayed close until the last seconds of the game. Finally, the Municipality of Matalam won with a heart-stopping score of 91โ€“90.

Among all the players on the court, Brixter stood out. His energy, focus, and determination helped lead Matalam to victory. Because of his outstanding performance, he was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Finals. What made his game more admirable was not only his skills but also his humility and his clean, fair way of playing. He showed that true champions win with discipline, respect, and sportsmanship.

This victory was not just about basketball, it was about pride and teamwork. For Matalam, it was a moment of honor. For Dalapitan High School, it was proof that one of their own students could shine brightly on a bigger stage.

Brixter John Coloma D**a is more than a student and more than an athlete. He is an inspiration to his schoolmates, friends, community, and young athletes who dream of reaching success through passion, discipline, and determination.
