The University of Eastern Philippines (UEP) proudly announces that 52 graduates from the College of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Natural Resources (CAFNR) have successfully passed the November 2025 Agriculturists Licensure Examination (ALE) held on November 19โ€“21, 2025.

UEP recorded an impressive 57.14% passing rate among first-time takers with 44 passers and 77.73% among repeaters with 8 passers โ€” marking a 59.09% overall institutional performance, a testament to the collegeโ€™s commitment to academic excellence and its dedication to producing competent, industry-ready professionals in the field of agriculture.

University President Dr. Cherry I. Ultra, together with the entire UEP academic community, conveys heartfelt congratulations to this yearโ€™s newly minted Registered Agriculturists for bringing pride and honor to the university. Their success reflects not only their hard work and perseverance, but also the strong support and quality training provided by CAFNR faculty and staff.

The University of Eastern Philippines โ€“ Pedro Rebadulla Memorial Campus celebrates the success of 15 graduates who passed the November 2025 Licensure Examination for Agriculturists.

Of the successful examinees, 12 are first-time takers, earning a 52.17% passing rate, while 3 repeaters contributed 42.86%, bringing the campus to a commendable 50% overall performance. This achievement highlights the continuous efforts of the Agriculture Department in Catubig Campus in equipping future agriculturists with quality instruction, practical expertise, and industry readiness.

The UEP community, led by President Dr. Cherry I. Ultra, proudly congratulates its new Registered Agriculturists for this milestone, reflecting their hard work, perseverance, and strong commitment to advancing agricultural development in the region.

Competing against strong IT contenders across the region, UEPโ€™s 4th-year BSIT student teams showcased exceptional skills in solving cybersecurity challenges, responding to simulated cyberattacks, and defending digital systems under pressure.

This breakthrough achievement highlights UEPโ€™s growing capability in developing future-ready, ethical IT professionals who are prepared to protect and innovate in the digital world.

With this victorious debut, UEP strengthens its commitment to excellence in technology and cybersecurity education โ€” and this is only the beginning.

Reaffirming its dedication to continual quality enhancement, the University of Eastern Philippines (UEP) officially commenced the three-day Accreditation Online Survey conducted by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) for seven undergraduate programs.

Under review are the following:
โ€ข Level IV Phase I โ€“ BSBA Business Economics, BSBA Human Resource Management, and BSBA Marketing Management

โ€ข Level III Phase I โ€“ BS Agribusiness, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, and BS Entrepreneurship

โ€ข Level III Phase II โ€“ BS Industrial Technology at UEPโ€“Pedro Rebadulla Memorial Campus

University officials, academic deans, faculty members, program task forces, and the AACCUP accreditors attended the opening activity. The team of accreditors is composed of: Dr. Reynaldo T. Gelido (Lead Accreditor), Dr. Sisenando C. Masangcap Jr., Dr. Agnes D. Arellano, Prof. Victoria P. Besana, Dr. Elmer C. Vingua, and Dr. Noel S. Quidato.

Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Ronato S. Ballado welcomed the evaluators and formally opened the program, emphasizing accreditation as an essential mechanism to ensure that UEPโ€™s academic offerings remain relevant, competitive, and responsive to national development goals. Director for Instruction Celeste J. Chan presented the rationale of the survey visit, underscoring the universityโ€™s continuous pursuit of academic excellence.

Chief Administrative Officer Mr. Roque I. Irader introduced the key university officials, followed by the deansโ€™ presentations of their respective accreditation task forces: Atty. Emily S. Acompaรฑado (CBA), Dr. Leovegildo B. Mante Jr. (CAFNR), Dr. Mila Gracia E. Villanueva (CVM), and Dr. Rico D. De Asis (UEP-PRMC). Lead Accreditor Dr. Gelido then delivered the statement of purpose and an overview of the survey processes.

Dr. Maria Alfe G. Banawis, Assistant Director of the Quality Assurance Unit, officially introduced the full roster of AACCUP accreditors and expressed gratitude for their commitment to support UEPโ€™s quality assurance journey.

A message of support from University President Dr. Cherry I. Ultra, delivered by Vice President for Administration and Finance Atty. Regine Ann A. Garcelazo, highlighted UEPโ€™s collective readiness for the accreditation activities. Dr. Ultra expressed confidence that the programs under evaluation will achieve favorable outcomes, recognizing the concerted efforts of administrators, faculty, and staff in strengthening academic standards.

The opening program concluded with breakout room sessions for each program and a virtual campus tour showcasing UEPโ€™s facilities, learning environment, and student support services.

Through this accreditation endeavor, UEP continues to uphold its mandate as a leading institution in Eastern Visayas, committed to producing competent graduates and maintaining a culture of quality and excellence.

Armed with coding expertise and a passion for cybersecurity, two teams of 4th-year Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) students from the University of Eastern Philippines (UEP) Main Campus stepped into the arena of the Hack4Gov 2025 Regional Competition โ€” a high-stakes cybersecurity battleground organized by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).

Hack4Gov is designed as a national capture-the-flag (CTF) challenge, where participants navigate simulated cyber incidents, decode encrypted puzzles, uncover system vulnerabilities, and respond to digital threats โ€” all under intense pressure and time constraints. The competition aims to uncover the next generation of Filipino cyber defenders who can secure the countryโ€™s digital frontiers.

She reaffirmed that no woman should ever live in fear and emphasized that violenceโ€”whether physical, emotional, or onlineโ€”must have no place in the University and in the community. This vital accreditation process evaluates the quality and standards of seven academic programs across three distinct accreditation phases:
