A powerful speech by Festival Director John Aries C. Bejer marked the emotional opening of the screening night of the 2025 Summer Marmoreal Student Film Festival, celebrating the resilience, creativity, and passion of young filmmakers from Romblon State University's Bachelor of Multimedia Arts (BMMA) program.

Mr. Bejer emphasized that the event was not merely a culmination of a school project, but a "fruit of months of sacrifice, tears, exhaustion, and most of all, love for the arts." He recalled the first day of classes and how their nervous yet eager faces have since transformed into those of "stronger, braver, and more creative storytellers." He also did not shy away from acknowledging the struggles behind the scenes, and lauded the students' perseverance and collective spirit that carried them through.

The Marmoreal Student Film Festival, which has become a hallmark of cinematic talent and growth within Romblon State University, showcases the culmination of the BMMA students' academic and creative development. Mr. Bejer emphasized that the event is not just a celebration of films, but a celebration of artistic evolution.

Indeed, the 2025 Summer Marmoreal Student Film Festival was a night where the stars were not only on screenβ€”but seated proudly among the audience.
