Walay GHOST PROJECT sa Albuera!

DPWH: WALAY GHOST PROJECTS SA ALBUERA; GIPAKITA NGA FOOTAGE, SAYOP!

ORMOC CITY - Mipagawas og opisyal nga pamahayag ang Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Leyte 4th District Engineering Office (DEO) aron pagklaro sa mga isyu mahitungod sa fish port ug proyekto sa flood control sa Albuera, Leyte.

Gihimakak sa maong ahensya ang pasangil nga 'ghost projects' ang maong proyekto.

Matod sa DPWH, nga mga lihitimo ang maong mga proyekto nga gipundohan sa gobyerno ug duna kini mga saktong dokumento.

Ang Benolho Flood Control Project nahuman na niadtong 2024.

Ang footage nga gipakita sa usa ka interview sa balita nga nagkuwestiyon sa pagkawala sa usa ka estraktura, gikuha gikan sa atbang nga bahin sa proyekto diin nakahatag kini sa usa ka makalingla nga impormasyon ngadto sa publiko.

Base sa datos, wala’y proyekto sa flood control alang sa Benolho karong 2025 tungod kay nahuman na kini sa nakalabay nga tuig.

Bahin naman sa Albuera Leyte Port, ang actual accomplishment rate sa pagkakaron anaa sa 51.10%. Kini naglakip sa mga structure excavation, shoring ug cribbing, reinforcing steel (Grade 40), structural concrete (20.68 MPa), ug sheet piles (steel).

Ang ubang mga materyales sama sa reinforcing steel bars ug mga sheet piles nga andam na unta alang sa pag-instalar, wala pa mahatud sa lugar tungod sa limitado nga espasyo ug paglikay sa posibleng pagkadaot.

Dugang pa sa DPWH, 25.50% sa gigahin nga pundo sa maong proyekto ang nahatag na.

Nahunong usab ang maong proyekto tungod kay ang tag-iya sa lote nga naapektuhan nagdumili sa pagpaagi sa contractor.

Mahitungod naman sa coco lumbers nga naobserbahan sa site, kini mao ang wala pa matangtang nga mga porma gikan sa gibutang kaniadto nga concrete capping nga natabonan sa sand bars.

Police General Nicolas Torre III has been relieved as Chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) without any clear reason given yet. He was appointed as the new PNP chief last May 29, 2025, replacing retiring General Rommel Marbil, and assumed office on June 2, 2025. During his short tenure, Torre led several high-profile operations, including the arrests of televangelist Apollo Quiboloy and former President Rodrigo Duterte. The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) recently reversed some of Torre's key appointments within the PNP, citing the need for review and confirmation ¹ ².

NEWS UPDATE: Nasikop na sa kapulisan sa Ormoc City ang suspek sa pagpanunggab sa usa ka lalaki nga nag-zumba sa plaza, pasado alas 6 sa buntag, Dominggo, Agusto 17, 2025.

Giila ang suspek nga si Alfredo Simon, retirado nga sakop sa Philippine Constabulary, taga Brgy. Don Felipe Larrazabal, Ormoc City.

Base sa inisyal nga imbestigasyon sa kapulisan, giingong nag-selos ang suspek sa biktima nga si Ruel kay nagduda kini nga dunay relasyon sa iyang asawa.

Nakaangkon og duha ka samad dinunggaban ang biktima ug gidala sa tambalanan ug luwas ra ang kahimtang.

Dali nga gilunsad sa kapulisan pinangulohan ni PLTC Joel Camacho ug PCPT Ramil Caldona ang hot pursuit operation ug nasikop dayun ang suspek.
