Here is our newest picture of the centerpiece of Mt. Timolan Protected Landscape's ecotourism, the Lake Maragang.

On the eastern portion of the entire landscape, nestled in a semi-separate topography, lies Lake Maragang, a heart-shape lake that serves as a key ecotourism feature of the Mt. Timolan Protected Landscape. Spanning approximately 22 hectares, the lake is surrounded by lush forest, providing a serene and picturesque environment for visitors. Lake Maragang is a hub for various ecotourism activities, including camping, kayaking, fishing, and birdwatching. The lake's clear waters and tranquil atmosphere make it a popular destination for those seeking a peaceful retreat in nature. Additionally, the park around the lake offers well-maintained trails, picnic areas, and floating cottages, enhancing the overall experience for tourists.

Lake Maragang got its name from an endemic tree known by the Subanen as “Maligang” (Lipote in Tagalog, Malig-ang in Cebuano) and scientifically known as Syzygium polycephaloides which signifies its abundance in the lakeside and locality. Constantly misheard and or mispronounced by the Visayan migrants and later became known as Maragang.

Mga alas 9:07 ganinang buntag December 29, 2024, ang usa ka eroplano nga nag-landing sa Muan International Airport sa South Jeolla Province, South Korea, misimang gikan sa runway ug nabangga sa gawas nga koral sa airport.

Ang eroplano nga nalambigit sa aksidente mao ang Jeju Air Flight 7C 2216, nga mibiya gikan sa Bangkok, Thailand ug nagpadulong sa Muan, sakay ang 175 ka pasahero ug 6 ka crew.

Sa kasamtangan, ang kapulisan ug bumbero nag-imbestiga sa eksaktong ihap sa mga biktima ug nasamdan. At least, 28 people died in the crash.
