Prevention Protocols:
1. Community Awareness:

Avoid sharing personal items (towels, clothing, utensils).

Barangay health workers should report any suspected MPOX cases (fever with unexplained rash or lesions) to the Municipal Health Office immediately.
Encourage residents to seek medical attention for any suspicious symptoms.

Suspected and confirmed cases must be isolated at home or referred to designated facilities.
Close contacts should be monitored for symptoms for 21 days.

Health workers and caregivers must wear gloves, masks, and face shields when caring for suspected cases.
6. Travel and Contact Precautions:
Travelers returning from MPOX-affected areas must report to the health center for assessment.
Avoid close contact with animals (especially rodents and primates) that could harbor the virus.
