An airport employee

“Edi malaki sahod mo?” — that’s what you’ll usually hear from most people.

But once you start working at the airport, you’ll realize that not everyone there actually took up an aviation course. Some came from Accountancy, HRM, Business Management, Computer Engineering, Criminology, and many more.

But where did all their stories lead them?
Some are here because this was the first opportunity that came their way. Some chose this path because of the rate in Manila. Others see it as a stepping stone, and some are genuinely happy working in aviation — like me.

We can’t blame ourselves if sometimes it feels like we’re still far from being on the “right track” in life.
We’ll never know — maybe one day, all our efforts and sacrifices will pay off when we least expect it.

Those of us in this field have sacrificed a lot —
missing special occasions, working under the scorching sun, and enduring heavy rain and storms.

But we chose this, because it’s what we want.
Because we have goals.

So to everyone in the same field — keep going.

All these challenges are part of the journey toward our dreams. ✈️💪

The 80th anniversary livery for Air Canada was introduced in 2017.

A significant turning point in the airline's history, this livery was created to symbolize Canada's power and spirit of modernity.

This photo was taken a few months ago after their flight from MNL to YVR got cancelled.
