Vance Signals Early Success in U.S.-Iran Peace Deal as Oil Flows and Gas Prices Dip Below $4
WASHINGTON — Vice President JD Vance announced major breakthroughs in the maritime transit corridor today, confirming that 12.5 million barrels of oil successfully transited the Strait of Hormuz following the implementation of the U.S.-Iran peace agreement.
According to the Vice President, Iranian forces have desisted from targeting shipping vessels for two consecutive nights, marking a significant de-escalation in the region.
"This plan in Iran is already bearing real fruits for the American people," Vance stated, noting that the single-day volume represents a high-water mark since the conflict began.
The stabilization of the trade route has triggered an immediate response in energy markets. Crude oil prices have dropped close to pre-war baselines, driving domestic retail gasoline under the $4-per-gallon threshold today. Vance projected further relief at the pump as market corrections continue.
On enforcement operations, the Vice President confirmed that diplomatic compliance is being mirrored by military cooperation. "So far, they are honoring their end of the commitment," Vance said, adding that U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has already permitted more than a dozen ships to pass through the active naval blockade.

Flash Report: Historic Accord Signed at Versailles as U.S. and Iran Move Toward De-escalation

VERSAILLES, FRANCE — In a move marking a major shift in Middle Eastern geopolitics, the United States and Iran have officially signed a diplomatic accord at the Palace of Versailles. The agreement, facilitated by international mediation, is being framed as a crucial step toward de-escalation and long-term stability in the region.

French President Emmanuel Macron, who hosted the event, confirmed that the deal is expected to pave the way for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz—a vital maritime artery for global oil transit that has been a frequent point of friction.

"This accord opens the path to a lasting peace and allows for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz," President Macron stated following the signing ceremony. He hailed the development as a significant step forward for the global community.

The selection of Versailles as the venue has drawn intense scrutiny and historical commentary.

Observers have pointed to the profound symbolism of the site, noting the stark contrast between the current diplomatic efforts and the historical treaties signed at the location, which historically imposed significant reparations and restructuring. Critics and analysts are currently evaluating the long-term implications of the agreement, particularly regarding the economic and strategic concessions contained within the document.

The signing is seen as a pivotal, if complex, development in the current geopolitical landscape, with world leaders closely watching how the terms of the agreement will be implemented on the ground in the coming weeks.

'WHO WILL BAN US? THE THIEVES!'

This was the statement of businessman Chavit Singson after he was barred from entering an events place in Mandaluyong City this Tuesday (June 16), where the so-called "Blue Ribbon hearing" organized by ex-Cong. Mike Defensor was supposed to take place.

The businessman blamed former House Speaker Martin Romualdez and President Bongbong Marcos for blocking the venue and preventing the hearing from pushing through.
According to Singson, they are already looking for an alternative venue to hold the said hearing.

He added that they already possess sufficient evidence to prove the identities of the real "masterminds" behind the corruption.
