NATIONAL CAMPUS PRESS FREEDOM DAY 📰🖊

Today, July 25, the National Campus Press Freedom Day is celebrated to acknowledge and safeguard the fundamental right to freedom of speech and constitutional democracy of campuses nationwide.

Republic Act 11440 was signed in August 2019, recognizing June 25 of every year as the National Campus Press Freedom Day, which led to its first celebration in 2020.

The Momentum and its campus journalists continue to grow more committed to upholding and delivering its mandate of service, truth, excellence, and progress to the ParScian community and beyond amidst the growing crisis of misinformation, disinformation, and harassment of the press over the years.

As the official school publication, The Momentum firmly stands by its dedication with fellow Filipino campus journalists in protecting and promoting the legal right to campus press freedom from impunity against the press.

Let's continue to empower and recognize campus journalists throughout the country as a significant part of society in the relentless pursuit of truth with their pens and voices.
