Trese has a special place in my heart. 🗡️
Some of you here may know me from back in 2021 after a short clip of me portraying as Trese went viral during the Netflix animated series launch. It made a meaningful impact to me and my career as a cosplayer to this day.
Fast forward to SuperManila Comic Con 2026, I finally got the chance to meet Trese’s creators - Budjette Tan & KaJo Baldisimo. It’s so surreal meeting them both and talking to the great minds that created Alexandra Trese.
I remember when the series came out, I binge-read all the comic books and did my best to do extra research on lores and theories on Trese groups and also found out that Hank the Bartender was truly based on our long time friend Hank Sparrow! *mind is blown* That’s why I’m very lucky to have the whole gang complete last SuperManila too!
To the real Bossings, Sir Budjette & Sir KaJo, thank you for creating one of the most powerful characters we’re proud to call our own. Thank you also to Sir Budjette for being generous to me and our team and handing us all Lego keychains!
Thank you to JM & Prince for being my Basilio & Crispin, and to Hank for joining us and dressing up as Hank haha!
Now see, I didn’t just meet Budjette Tan. Just like you, ofcourse I didn’t waste the opportunity to hand him a Choc-Nut and ask when Season 2 is coming out. I did not get a concrete answer, maybe more chocnuts next time.. Haha!
For now, let’s all rewatch Trese on Netflix and show them how badly we want a next season!!! That last episode was such a cliffhanger, right?!
