An Emirates SkyCargo Boeing 777 Freighter is seen here arriving at Mactan-Cebu International Airport via Runway 04. As evident in one of the photos, Terminal 2 was still under construction at the time. I really miss spotting at RPVM... Hoping to go spotting in Cebu again soon! đŸ˜€

Delivered in 2009, this particular airframe served the airline for a decade before being acquired by Kalitta Air in 2019.

A United Airlines Boeing 737-700 is seen here sporting the Star Alliance livery as its rolls down Manila's Runway 06, bound for Guam. This particualr airframe started its life flying for Continental Airlines until acquired by United through the merger.

Back then, United operated daytime nonstop flights twice a week between Manila and Guam.

Today UA190 is now a United Airlines nonstop flight from Manila to San Francisco utilizing the Boeing 777-300ER

On a side note, I do envy those guys in the photo on top of Terminal 1. Must have been quite a view! :D

A cockpit comparison of two of the largest aircraft ever produced, the Boeing 747-400 and the Antonov An-124. Both aircraft position their cockpits on an elevated upper deck to accommodate front loading cargo nose doors, allowing the nose cone (Freighter versions for the 747s) to hinge upward for straight in loading of oversized freight.

Face to face with the PAL Queen!

A throwback photo that I stumbled upon while browsing my spotting archives. Check out this no secondary fence perspective of a Philippine Airlines Boeing 747-400 holding short, waiting for its turn to line up on the runway.

It was always a classic sight to see PAL's Queen of the Skies here at our home airport in Manila. The registration isn't visible, and this is the only photo I have of this moment, but if memory serves me right, this was PAL's "Ocho Ocho."
