This feels full circle. I began my career in 2011 as a young, wide-eyed TV reporter covering hard news and diplomacy. I learned so much from my mentors at Solar News (later CNN Philippines) — , Pal Marquez, .aboga,and my ninang , among others. At Rappler, I started featurizing my diplomacy stories under the guidance of , , Miriam Grace Go, and of course– .
I often say that my relationship with diplomacy and journalism will likely be the longest one I’ll ever have. It began right out of university—long before life took me elsewhere—and what I’ve built here has always been independent of anyone else.
So happy this serendipitously happened in March! Happy Women’s Month. 🥰
