🚫 DRUNK DRIVING ISN’T JUST ILLEGAL. IT’S UNFORGIVABLE. 🕯️
“I’m not a strict dad,” says James Deakin, known motoring journalist and father. “But there’s one thing that’s non-negotiable in our home: NEVER drive under the influence. No ifs, no buts.”
Because one poor decision can destroy multiple lives.
💔 A young driver, allegedly drunk, just took innocent lives. And while we don’t know much about him, one thing is clear: he’ll live with that guilt forever—if he even survives.
🛑 And for what? The cost of a Grab ride? A quick call to a sober friend?
James is right: the risk is never worth it. Even if you escape the law, your conscience may never let you go. That moment of negligence becomes a lifetime sentence—for the victims, their families, and yes, even the driver.
It’s time to get angry. To demand real change.
👉 Enforce the 12-year-old Anti-Drunk Driving Act.
👉 Launch relentless public awareness campaigns.
👉 Stigmatize drunk driving until it’s no longer socially acceptable.
Let’s stop treating these preventable tragedies as news blurbs. Let’s start treating them as calls to action.
⚖️ If we don’t demand change, the “Drunk Driving Act” will remain just that—an act.
NEVER DRIVE UNDER THE INFLUENCE.
Not for your pride. Not for convenience. Not for anything.
Because “sorry” won’t bring anyone back.
